Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will prove to be a major test for the MCU in a way that was previously unthinkable. In terms of box-office gross, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been one of the undisputed behemoths of the last decade. This further extends to the superhero genre as a whole, with recent installments such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Black Adam, and Shazam!
