Strange New Worlds Season 2 Promotion Confirmed By Star*

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds actress Celia Rose Gooding confirms that her character, Nyota Uhura, receives a promotion in season 2. Strange New Worlds' highly-anticipated second season premieres on Thursday, June 15, 2023, on Paramount+. The 10-episode Strange New Worlds season 2 continues the five-year mission of the USS Enterprise commanded by Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount), and Gooding's Uhura takes more steps toward becoming the iconic character originally portrayed by Nichelle Nichols in Star Trek: The Original Series.
To celebrate First Contact Day 2023, Paramount+ released 8 character posters of the Strange New Worlds season 2 cast. The key art shows Uhura wearing a standard Starfleet Delta badge, indicating she is no longer the Cadet she was in season 1.
