Spider-Punk Hidden Detail Sparks Incredible Theory About His Unique Spider-Man Origin Story*

WARNING: This article includes SPOILERS from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.A new theory about Spider-Punk's origin story has surfaced following his arrival in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After the massive success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the animated franchise is finally back in theaters with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Similar to the first film, the sequel introduced a multitude of new Spider-Man variants. One of them is Hobie Brown, a.k.a. Spider-Punk, who's voiced by Black Panther and Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya.
However, a key observation by Twitter user @lighthawkhebi has sparked some interesting theories about the web-slinger and his origin story in the Spider-Verse franchise. Hobie's origin story isn't explained in detail in Across the Spider-Verse, so the theory fills in some of his backstory. The theory goes into the idea of Spider-Punk maybe having killed a police captain on his Earth.
