The Flash Movie"s 12 Biggest Spoilers & Reveals*

Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for The Flash movie.As expected, The Flash movie breaks the ground on a new DC Universe, with a number of spoilers and reveals about the new setting. Chief among these reveals are which of Barry Allen's Justice League allies survived to be reborn in the new DC Universe. Yet there are other surprises in store, even for those comic readers already familiar with the stories that inspired the film.
The Flash movie is loosely based on the 2011 comic book storyline Flashpoint, which similarly rebooted the DC Universe of the comics after Barry Allen accidentally created an alternate timeline while traveling back in time to prevent his mother's murder. The Flash movie makes a number of major changes from the comics, such as replacing Ben Affleck's Batman with Michael Keaton, rather than having Bruce Wayne's father become Batman after his son's death. The core idea of Barry Allen creating a new world because of his meddling in time remains untouched, however, resulting in a new DC Universe and a number of surprising reveals.
